Emily J. Howard
I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience. Currently, I am a social work supervisor at a major city hospital and maintain a part-time psychotherapy private practice in NYC. My spiritual journey began over 16 years ago with a physical injury (a twice-broken wrist) that was not responding to conventional rehabilitation. At that time I began taking classes and studying the Science of Mind. This lead to the realization and the understanding that the mind-body connection is essential to all healing. Being a Religious Science Practitioner, I see the importance of incorporating spiritual principles in any healing endeavor. To heal means to make whole. Education: Masters in Social Work from New York University, a Certificate in Psychoanalysis & Comprehensive Psychotherapy from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, and a Certificate in Second Degree Course in the Usui System of Reiki Healing.
